1. Delivery Times Scales
Delivery times can vary depending on stock availability and can range from 7-10 working days for items in stock, to between 3 and 6 weeks for items not in stock at time of order.
On placing your order on line, you will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and payment. Once all of your order is in stock (part orders will not be delivered), we will contact you to confirm the delivery date, and dependant on the method of delivery, an approximate time of delivery. Deliveries operate from Monday to Friday and are from 6am-6pm. Most of our deliveries are allocated on a 2 hour delivery slot, so you wont be left hanging around all day waiting for your delivery.
Please note that free pallet deliveries do not offer timed delivery slots.
2. Delivery Charges
Most of our products qualify for free delivery, which will be indicated on our web site when you enter your postcode. Free delivery applies to mainland England and Wales, but excluding post codes LL, PL, TQ and TR, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight
Deliveries to these excluded areas may be possible, at an additional charge. Please ring 01792 773000 between the hours of 10am and 5pm and we will be happy to discus your delivery options. Alternatively you can email your order to firstname.lastname@example.org along with your delivery address and we will be happy to contact you with cost and delivery options as soon as we can.
3. Courier Delivery
Small items, e.g. a bedside or nest of tables, may be delivered by courier, on a next day service. These operate Monday to Friday, between the hours of 6am-6pm. You will receive a text from our Courier informing you that your furniture delivery is due the next day. On the following morning, you will receive a further text, usually between 7am-9am, giving a 1hr delivery slot. You can rearrange your delivery, should you need to, by replying when prompted, to either of these texts. You can also contact the courier directly, to arrange to collect your order from the Courier's depot if that is more convenient.
4. Standard Delivery
This is a two man delivery service, and where possible, furniture will be carried to a room of your choice. Furniture unpacking, assembly and removal of any packaging is not included in the delivery.
Deliveries operate from Monday to Friday between 6am-6pm and are allocated in 2hr slots, so you wont be left hanging around all day waiting for your delivery.
5. Pallet Deliveries
This is a one man delivery service, to a door of your choice for small to medium items dispatched directly from our warehouse, or for selected ranges dispatched directly from our suppliers. Your delivery will be on a wooden pallet, and the courier will place the pallet as close to the door of your choice as possible, but this will dependant on suitable access for a pallet truck. Pallet deliveries will usually be on a large lorry, so suitable access for the vehicle is essential.
We recommend an able bodied person is present at the delivery address to accept the deliver, and to carry your order into your home. For larger items we recommend two able bodied persons be available. Our courier will not unpack the pallet. Our courier will if required place the pallet in a garage or in under a sheltered area as long as access is available.
Free pallet deliveries operate Monday to Friday and may be anytime between 8am and 6pm. We will contact you before hand to agree a convenient delivery date. AM, timed (1 hour Slot) and Saturday morning pallet deliveries are all available, but subject to an additional charge. Please contact us for a quote.
6. Premium Delivery Service
Available only to areas SA1-SA32, CF31, CF33, CF34 & CF36
This is a full delivery service provided by The Rocking Chair Ltd staff. Your furniture will be placed in a room of your choice, and where required, unpacked, carried upstairs and fully assembled. All packaging material will be cleared away, and where possible recycled.
Deliveries are usually on a Wednesday between the hours of 8am and 5pm and work on a 1hr delivery slot, so you wont be left hanging around waiting for your delivery.
On Request there are limited delivery slots between 5pm-8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at an additional charge of £30 per delivery, please contact us after placing your order if you would like to use this facility.
7. Large Orders
Available Outside Premium Delivery Service Areas
If you love our furniture, and we are sure you will, and you are placing a large order, (in excess of £3000) we as a company want you to get the best service you possibly can, and therefore we will delivery these orders as a Premium Delivery Service, (outlined above). A nominal charge will be made to cover the skilled staffs time, but the delivery will be FREE, to your home, our staff will then at a date and time arranged with you come to your home, where our skilled staff will carry out the unpacking and assembly, in a loving and caring manner that we have towards our furniture and customers.

8. Charges for DeliveriesShould you wish to use any of the additional delivery services mentioned above e.g. PM deliveries, payment for these services must be made in full at the time we contact you to you to book in your delivery.
